KG to the Eastern Conference???

As a season ticket holder, I would like to see the locals trade KG if they could get: 1) excellent young players, 2) a high #1 in 2007 and a future #1 to make up for the ones we will be losing shortly, and 3) some salary cap relief (for example, the departure of Troy Hudson or Marko Jaric).

The 3 teams with high picks in 2007 and excellent young players are Boston, Atlanta and Chicago. The Knicks have no 2007 pick and I really don't like any of their young players, either.

To move KG and $6MM worth of shit, you have to take $25MM to $31MM in salary back. The Knicks can easily put together $30MM of contracts, but I hate all of their guys.

So, Bulls/Atlanta/Chicago would be my front runners.

The Hawks' 3rd pick, Josh Smith, Marvin Williams and Speedy Claxton would have some appeal, but there isn't enough salary there coming our way.

According to the salaries I see on www.hoopshype.com (those numbers are not always 100% accurate), the Celtics could offer a deal involving Theo Ratliff, Wally, Al Jefferson, Gerald Green and the Celts' high #1 -- toss in a #1 from someone else or forgive the Wolves that awful decision to give Boston the #1 for Ricky Davis and Mark Blount, and the deal works out pretty well.

Celts would get KG and Marko.
