I've Got a Fever, and The Only Prescription is "More Palin"

I am put in mind of the 2007 Minnesota Golden Gophers football team. They started out as the worst defense in all of Division I football. So about halfway through the season, the defensive coordinator decided to "simplify" his schemes so guys could "play at full speed without too much thinking."

At the end of the year they were........the worst defense in all of Division I football.

I THINK what they are trying to say here is that Palin can't remember "policy talking points" well enough, so they are going to see if they can get her to turn every answer into "that tax and spend liberal black guy really sucks." I GUESS this might work, but it can only work if 1) the people asking her questions ask a question that is conducive to such an answer; and 2) if she doesn't basically start saying things she truly believes on issues like creationism, stem cell research, immigration, etc. (where either she has no current position or her position is different than McCain's).
