So the best three in swimsuit and evening gown scores are Miss North Carolina, Miss California and Miss Arizona. I picked NC and CA in my top 7 during the initial walkway portion, and my youngest had NC as one of her top 5 (she ultimately won).
CA was unfortunate to be a right-wing whacko born-again who fielded a "Vermont Just Passed Gay Marriage -- your thoughts?" question from the gay Perez Hilton (Answer: "It is great that we have the right of choice in this country.....but in my country....and my family....marriage is between one man and one woman"). This answer is at least an admirable try, but it misstates the entire premise of the "sanctity of marriage" people -- any gay marriage anywhere harms me irreparably and can never be allowed to stand.
But Arizona? Oh Miss Arizona. Miss Teen South Carolina at least TRIED to answer the question "some people don't have maps...." Miss Arizona's "strategery" when asked HER opinion? It doesn't matter, because it is all a matter of integrity.........and I say that with great conviction.
Please identify for me her position on whether we should have universal health care:
