Whitlock on Twitter:
Let Laettner or Grant Hill finance a documentary and say the kind of shat Fab5 said and see how quick Jesse and Al shut the shat down.
.On TV calling people who beat you 4 straight "bitches, overrated, soft and Uncle Toms" is so far out of bounds it's embarrassing.
Chris Webber on his blog said that he think Jalen Rose uses the term "Uncle Tom" to mean someone with a successful two-parent family.
So...........if any of the Fab 5 guys (who Webber says are now respectable suit-wearing guys) have kids and stay married to the moms, are the kids "Uncle Toms"??? I guess the answer is "Yes." So the key here is that you need to knock up a woman and then leave so your kid cannot be an Uncle Tom?
That is the GOAL?!?!?
These are some of the wealthiest and most visible men in black society -- they take the position that having a two-parent family where both parents work (ahem, Chris Webber's family growing up) makes you an Uncle Tom. Great, it really gives you a whole lot of hope for the African-American community on a going forward basis.

Jason Whitlock is the best. Even when I disagree with him, you got give it to him for his "onions"!
whitlock must be cut from the same cloth as grant hill lacking critical thinking skills given the fact jalen rose was speaking from his perspective as an 18yr old. and those comments were made before the first time they played duke. further, duke beating them 4x is irrelevant...you're talking about 5 freshman starting vs an experienced upper class team who won the national championship the year before. i didn't know college championships itself put food on the table, roof over their head, clothes on their backs. nobody remembers who wins college championships - they remember professional championships and how many does hill have? the same as those guys...while making less money too! grant hill's response showed why there's a profound hatred toward duke in this country; his response said my family is better than rose's, my team won championships and yours didn't, my team didn't lose to your team those 2yrs. the fact remains nobody remembers duke winning that championship; they remember the fab 5...never have 5 freshman started and led their team to a national title game that year and followed it up again as sophomores and this will never happen again. fact of the matter is jalen rose spoke the truth but some people don't like hearing it (hill, whitlock). i don't hear laettner crying because he was called a b!tch...
I think anyone who watches much college basketball remembers Duke winning two straight national titles because the unlv upset and the 1992 win over Kentucky both are tremendously memorable events.
As whitlock said (paraphrasing him) what has black society come to when it is identified as a bad thing for a black kid to have two parents who have jobs? Who is the real danger to black children - the KKK or people like Jalen Rosr who tell black kids that you really are not black unless you have no dad and your parents don't work?
